Several Search Warrants Carried Out In Leamington

A number of arrests have been made after a joint police investigation in Leamington.

Officers from the RCMP, Canada Border Services Agency, Ontario Provincial Police and Chatham-Kent police executed several search warrants in the Leamington area. They're investigating the importation and trafficking of cocaine.

Those arrested are expected to make a court appearance in Windsor Thursday. Police won't identify the suspects until they are formally charged.

Police also say they have no further comment on the raids.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
