UPDATE: Motorcyclist Airlifted To Hospital After Crash

Police are investigating after a two-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle closed a section of Park Ave. W in Chatham.

Officers responded to the scene on Friday around 5pm, on Park Ave. W, west of Lacroix St. near Sobeys.

The Chatham-Kent Police Service says the driver of motorcycle was seriously injured and was airlifted to a London

The motorcyclist is remains in hospital in stable condition.

A section of Park Ave. was closed in front of the Sobeys entrance on Friday, while emergency crews were at the scene.

Police are continuing to investigate the crash and are asking anyone with information to contact Constable Doug Cowell at 519-355-1092.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
