Windsor Ready for To Bid For World Juniors

Windsor is going forward with a joint bid with the City of London for the 2019 World Junior Hockey Championship.

It's committing up to $400,000 if the bid is supported.

"We're ready and I think we've proven that hosting CARHA, we've proven that hosting a number of events that we've had here in the city," says Windsor Mayor Drew Dilkens.

The City of London has committed $600,000 to the bid. Should the bid be successful all games except the medal games will be split equally between the two cities. All medal games would be hosted in London due to the size of its arena.

The bid documents are due August 31, 2016.
