Demolition Derby In Dresden

Cars, truck, vans, and even power wheels will be smashing into each other in Dresden on Saturday.

The Summer Showdown Demolition Derby hits the Dresden Raceway Saturday afternoon, and organizer Dan Fry even added an event for the kids.

"We have what they call the 'shorty showdown' and it's where the kids get in their power wheels and they go for a timed event," says Fry. "They have their own little derby and they all get a medal and a grab bag so they're included with dad."

There are three classes with the winner in each class taking home $5,000. Plus door prizes, including a BBQ.

Doors open at 11am and the derby gets underway at 1pm. Tickets at $10 for adults, kids 6-12 are $5, and seats on the pit side are $15. Tickets are available at the gate.
