UPDATE: Hwy. 40 Reopened Following Crash In Corunna

Police have closed a section of Hwy. 40 after a two-vehicle crash in St. Clair Township.

The Ontario Provincial Police say on Saturday around 1pm, the two vehicles collided at the Hwy. 40 and Petrolia Line intersection in Corunna. As a result of the crash, one of the vehicles left the road a struck a light standard holding a traffic signal, which caused the signal to stop working.

No injuries have been reported.

To ensure public safety, police closed Hwy. 40 at the intersection in both directions until the traffic signal was repaired. The highway was fully reopened to traffic just before 9pm.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
