YA Expanding In Chatham (GALLERY)

The YA contact centre in Chatham is expanding and hiring.

YA President Chris Behrens says although the company has recently set up a centre in Mexico, they've noticed a growing market opportunity for business expansion in Canada.

"We see the opportunity to leverage our U.S. client relationship by helping them from within the market in Canada," says Behrens.

But instead of moving elsewhere in Canada, he says they wanted to make sure the expansion happened in Chatham-Kent.

"We really love the talent that we have access to in Chatham-Kent and the surrounding area," says Behrens. "Working with the local government, we see that as an opportunity to work with the best and brightest in CK."

The growing marketing promotions company recently moved to their new location on Richmond St. in Chatham -- just down the road from their old office.

"We didn't want to displace any of our talent," says Behrens. "At the same time we also wanted to enhance the workplace environment by having bigger [and] better facilities."

Behrens says the new location is triple the size of what they had, but that's not the only area where the company is seeing growth.

YA is looking to almost double the amount of their staff -- going from 85 employees to about 150.
