Spitfires Improving Fan Experience

The Windsor Spitfires season opener tonight at the WFCU Centre marks the beginning of a huge year for the organization.

Buzz around the Memorial Cup is already starting to build and the Spitfires are seeing an increase in season ticket sales.

"The response certainly has been good. Part of that has been that season ticket holders will get priority seating for Mastercard Memorial Cup tickets," says Spitfires spokesperson Dave Ducharme.

Ducharme says they have also made improvements to the arena in preparation for the championship that should improve the fan experience overall.

"We've got a brand new sound system, and a brand new jumbotron along with new lighting in the bowl so we're really proud of the work that we've done this summer," says Ducharme.

The Spitfires are hosting a tailgating party in the WFCU parking lot this afternoon between 5-7 to celebrate the home opener against the Erie Otters. It features a live DJ, face painting for the kids and inflatables.
