Wallaceburg Residents Charged In Drug Bust

Two Wallaceburg residents are facing charges following a drug bust.

Chatham-Kent police say about $5,000 worth of weed, meth and coke was seized by officers from the Intelligence Section and Critical Incident Response Team, while executing a search warrant in Wallaceburg Wednesday night.

A 31-year-old woman and 35-year-old man are now facing two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, three counts of failing to comply and one count of unauthorized possession of a weapon.

Two digital scales, knives, an extendable baton and other drug paraphernalia, as well as $1,160 in cash was also recovered.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
