The future of Chatham's seven catholic elementary schools is up in the air.
An accommodation review process had been laid out for the St. Clair Catholic District School Board back in April with enrollment numbers showing that Georges P. Vanier is the only school that would meet - or even exceed expectations over the next few years.
The under-enrollment seen in some schools, along with upkeep challenges have raised several questions -- including some around the potential consolidation of some of Chatham's elementary schools.
If the board votes to go ahead with an accommodation review, a committee will be formed to further evaluate the situation.
