Montreal House Sale Closes

Chatham's historic Montreal House has been officially sold, but the mystery buyers have yet to come forward.

Realty Houses Inc.'s Tim Cummings says the sale closed Thursday for the Grand Ave. W location. This after being on the market since April 2015.

However, in conversations with the new owners, Cummings explains they don't want to reveal their identity just yet. This to keep competition at bay until they're closer to moving onto the property.

Cummings does confirm a company, not just an individual, has purchased Chatham's Montreal House. He adds reps with the numbered company will eventually make an announcement about their plans for the property.

The Montreal House was built in the late 1800s, serving as a pit stop on the area's major thoroughfare.
