UPDATE: Cyclist Remains In Critical Condition

Chatham-Kent police say a 52-year-old man who was hit by a car while he was riding his bicycle in Chatham is still in critical condition in a London hospital.

Police responded to the scene at the intersection of Queen St. and Park Ave. W at around 9pm Monday.

Officers say the cyclist was airlifted to a London hospital with life threatening injuries, but the driver of the car wasn't hurt as a result of the crash.

The CKPS Traffic Management Unit is still investigating the incident. Anyone with information is asked to contact Constable Jason Herder at jasonh@chatham-kent.ca or 519-355-1092.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
