Dog Walker Threatened In Wallaceburg

A 55-year-old Wallaceburg man is facing charges after police allege he pulled a knife on a fellow dog-walker earlier this summer.

Investigators say the accused was walking his two small dogs on Wallace St. in Wallaceburg on August 18, 2016 when he crossed paths with a 50-year-old man who was also walking his dog.

Police say the accused started yelling at the victim when the dogs started barking at each other. The 50-year-old man then walked away, but he didn't get very far before the other man allegedly approached him and threatened the man and his dog with a small knife.

The 50-year-old man contacted police afterwards and officers were able to identify a suspect, but they didn't arrest him until Wednesday afternoon.

Police say when officers searched the man, they allegedly found two knives on him.

He's now charged with three counts of weapons-related charges and one count of uttering threats.
