Unifor Preparing For Potential Strike

Local Unifor members are preparing for a potential strike.

Around 6,400 members will go on strike Monday at 11:59pm if a deal is not reached with Fiat Chrysler Automobiles.

Unifor Local 444 Strike Marshall Frank Mosey says they are really focusing on educating their new members of what happens in the event of a strike.

"They've never been through a contract before so we've spent a lot of time educating our new members, telling them how the process works, letting them know that if we can't reach a deal we will go on strike," says Mosey

He says it's been his responsibility to make sure supports are in place to give members assistance on and off the picket line.
