The OPP say a tractor trailer was merging onto the highway at Essex County Rd. 42 just after 10am on Wednesday, when the driver lost control and the truck flipped on its side.

The eastbound on-ramp and two right lanes of the highway were blocked because of the crash.

A load of baking soda was spilled onto the road and had to be cleaned by hand, slowing traffic for several hours.

There were no injuries. Police continue to investigate.
