An Extra Hour Of Sleep Tonight

Don't forget to turn your clocks back an hour before you go to bed Saturday night.

Daylight Savings Time ends at 2am Sunday, November 6.

Not only does it mean an extra hour of sleep, but it's also a useful reminder to ensure the safety of your home.

Fire departments are reminding residents to check the batteries in their smoke detectors and carbon monoxide testers.

Any carbon monoxide tester that is five years old should be replaced.

Fire officials also recommend a fire extinguisher in your home, and if you have one already, now is a good time to make sure it's still charged. If not, you can recharge it at the nearest fire station.

Daylight Savings Time starts again on Sunday, March 12 at 2am.
