Police Follow Broken Beer Bottles

A 25-year-old Sarnia man is facing charges after police found him hauling ten cases of empty beer bottles on a wooden dolly on Charing Cross Rd.

Police say they got a tip about a man on a bicycle who was pulling the cases of beer behind him just before 5am Tuesday morning.

When police found him, they were able to trace a trail of broken beer bottles back to a business that's also located on Charing Cross Rd.

At that business, police found a shed that was broken into, so they arrested the man who they found towing the empties down the road.

As police were searching the man, they also allegedly found a cheque book on the accused that didn't belong to him.

He's being held in custody pending a bail hearing.
