Police Stumble Upon Stolen Property

Police have located several animal items that had been reported stolen November 11.

The items had been taken from a residence on Edgar St. in Chatham. They were to be used by the Pet and Wildlife Rescue (PAWR) group at their new location on Park Ave. E.

Police say on Friday evening, officers attended a different residence on Edgar St. for an unrelated matter. At that time, officers had found the stolen property.

After investigating, they determined the items had allegedly been brought to the residence earlier that morning by a Chatham man.

Police have arrested and charged 31-year-old Matthew Buller with possession of stolen property under $5,000.

Buller has been released from custody and is expected to appear in court December 2.
