Puppies Thrown From Moving Vehicle

Elgin OPP are searching for a suspect after four puppies were thrown from a moving vehicle.

Police were called by a resident who reported seeing a black SUV pull up near a driveway on Talbot Line between McKillop Rd. and Dunborough Rd. and throw four Jack Russell puppies out around 8:10pm last Thursday.

The puppies appeared to be around six to seven weeks old. Three of them were seriously injured in the incident.

Another motorist pulled over after seeing the resident looking for the puppies in the ditch. That unknown individual took the injured puppies to an emergency veterinarian in London.

Police are looking for an early 2000s black, four door, Ford Explorer with rusted rims and lower panels. The vehicle's muffler is also described as loud.
