Handguns Stolen From Vault

Chatham-Kent police are trying to track down five handguns that were stolen from a home just south of Chatham.

Police say someone broke into the residence on Dillon Rd. sometime between 9:30am and 2:40pm Monday, pried open the gun vault, and left with the handguns and three cases.

The missing handguns include:

- Rugar Mark II Target semi-automatic .22 caliber

- Browning High Power semi-automatic 9mm

- Smith and Wesson 686 revolver .357 mag

- Ruger P85 semi-automatic 9mm

- Ruger Super Single Six revolver .22 caliber

The guns and the cases have a combined estimated value of $1,600.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
