Power Restored North Of Chatham

It was a chilly start to the day Sunday for thousands of people without hydro north of Chatham.

Power for more than 2,000 households went out around 10am as the temperature hovered around the freezing mark.

Hydro One sent crews to the area, restoring power to the bulk of those affected by 2pm.

Small pockets of outages remain around southwestern Ontario. Hydro One estimates all power will be restored by 8pm Sunday evening.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
