Stranger Approaches Kids Before School

Chatham-Kent police are on the lookout for a man who approached two 11-year-old girls on their way to school in Chatham.

Police say the man was riding a black Mountain bike Monday morning when he approached the girls on Gladstone Ave. at about 8am.

He briefly spoke with them before following them until they crossed the street.

Officers say the man was last seen riding his bike southbound on Delaware Ave.

The man is described as a white male in his late 20s with a medium build. He had black hair and was last seen wearing a black and red toque, a brown jacket, a white shirt, and blue jeans. He was also carrying a hiking backpack at the time.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
