Warrant Issued For Mother Of Missing Girl

A Canada-wide warrant has been issued for the mother of a 9-year-old girl who was the subject of a recent Amber Alert.

Allana Haist, 38, is wanted on charges of abducting her daughter Layla Sabry. The pair were last seen at 6 King St. in Welland, Ontario around 6pm on December 1.

An Amber Alert was issued for Sabry Friday evening and was cancelled on Saturday, even though Sabry remains missing.

Niagara Regional Police issued the warrant for Haist's arrest on Tuesday.

Haist is described as 5'1'', 110 lbs, with a thin build, brown eyes, and medium length brown hair. She could be using the name Lana Marie or Kate Dillon.

Sabry is described as approximately 4'2'', 70 lbs, with an olive complexion, brown eyes, and light brown hair.

Anyone with information regarding Haist or Sabry's whereabouts is asked to call 911 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
