Hwy. 401 Re-Opens In Chatham

The westbound lanes of the Hwy. 401 are open again at Communication Rd. in Chatham.

A tractor trailer crashed on the highway at around 9:30pm Thursday night, prompting OPP to shut down the highway for several hours.

The OPP had an emergency detour in place, but the Ministry of Transportation says the road is open to traffic again.

At this point, there is no word on whether charges will be laid in connection with the tractor-trailer crash.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
