Hwy. 401 Construction Project Wrapping Up

After months of construction and traffic delays, the Hwy. 401 is finally set to re-open to two lanes through Chatham-Kent.

Ministry of Transportation officials have confirmed with BlackburnNews.com that as long as the weather co-operates, the highway will be fully open again next week.

While drivers can expect some relief in the short term, there's still more construction work on the way in the new year.

The Hwy. 40 (Communication Rd.) interchange in Chatham-Kent is scheduled to be closed for up to eight months for construction work starting at some point in 2017.
