OPP Charge Kingsville Fire Chief With Sexual Assault

Kingsville's fire chief is facing sexual assault charges.

Essex County Ontario Provincial Police say on Saturday, the major crime unit was called to investigate allegations of a sexual assault against a minor.

As a result, the OPP arrested 60-year-old Robert Kissner. He was due to appear in court Sunday but was still in custody Sunday night.

Kissner is facing two counts of sexual assault and two counts of sexual exploitation.

Jeff Dean has been appointed as acting chief.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
