CKHA Hires New CEO

There's a new top dog at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance.

Lori Marshall has been appointed as president and chief executive officer.

She takes the reigns with a wealth of healthcare experience behind her, having served as CEO for the Nipigon District Memorial Hospital and the Erie St. Clair Community Care Access Centre since 2014.

Marshall has also held positions as vice president at hospitals in Oshawa and Thunder Bay.

Supervisor Rob Devitt says her appointment follows a robust recruitment process, which saw the CKHA marry its executive search with a social media campaign, which asked the community to identify what they were looking for in a new hire.

Devitt says Marshall's key attributes reflect everything the community and hospital staff said they were seeking.

Marshall starts March 1, 2017. Ken Deane will continue to serve as interim CEO until then, and train her for a month.
