Tractor Trailer Driver Charged After Rollover Crash

A Kitchener man is facing charges following a tractor trailer crash on Hwy. 401 in Chatham.

The Ontario Provincial Police say on Friday around 6:30am, the tractor trailer was traveling in the eastbound lanes near Bloomfield Rd. when it crossed through the centre median, and drove across both westbound lanes. The vehicle then rolled onto its side and came to rest in a ditch.

The driver of the transport truck, a 54-year-old man from Kitchener, was not injured.

As a result of the crash, the Kitchener man has been charged with careless driving.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
