Quick To Stand Trial In 2006 Murder

A man accused of killing his wife in Lakeshore, will stand trial next month.

Earlier this year, the Ontario Court of Justice heard more than 100 testimonials in order to figure out if Scott Douglas Quick needed to stand trial in the 2006 murder of Nancy Quick.

On Monday, the decision was made to move the case to the Superior Court of Justice and have the 49-year-old stand trial, starting January 6.

Nancy Quick was hit by a van on the morning of February 23, 2006 in Emeryville as she walked to work at St. William Elementary School. She succumbed to her injuries five days later in a Detroit hospital.

Scott Quick was arrested in March of 2015, in Belleville.
