Comfort Inn Helping Hospital Patients Again

There's room at the Comfort Inn for the family and friends of CKHA patients again this year.

The hotel on Richmond St. in Chatham is once again partnering with the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, offering free rooms for family and friends of patients from the December 24-26.

"It is one less bill you have to pay, and we're a convenient [distance] from the hospital so they can slip right over, slip right back. Whatever they need, it's our way of providing a comfortable place to stay," says General Manager Sheila Bateman.

She adds the staff have been able to be apart of some pretty significant moments.

"They're very appreciative because it's so convenient and so easy, and it's just one less decision they have to make. We've seen some sad times and we've actually seen some happy times, with a baby being born," says Bateman.

Reservations can be made through the CKHA's Admitting Department, by calling 519-352-6400.
