Woman Assaulted in Leamington

Ontario Provincial Police are investigating an incident in which a woman was assaulted during a break-in.

It happened shortly before 2pm on Monday.  Officers responded to a call of a home invasion on Satinwood Crescent in Leamington.

The male suspect apparently forced his way into the home, assaulted a female in the residence, then fled the area on a bicycle.

The suspect is described as a black male, 5' 8" with a thin build, in his late 20s or early 30s.  He spoke with an accent and was wearing black, with a toque and aviator sunglasses.

Anyone with information on this incident is urged to call the Leamington detachment of the OPP at (519) 326-2544.  Those wishing to remain anonymous should call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) and may be eligible for a cash reward.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
