Charges Pending In Fatal Crash

Provincial police say charges are pending following a head-on crash west of London that claimed the life of a 29-year-old Chatham-Kent woman.

Ashley Kerr was killed when her Chevrolet Cavalier collided with a black Chevrolet Silverado at the bend on Longwoods Rd. east of Dogwood Rd. in Wardsville around 6:40am on Tuesday.

Kerr was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Silverado was taken to hospital with serious injuries. He has since been treated and released.

Middlesex OPP expect charges will be laid following the completion of the investigation.

Police are asking anyone who was in the area at the time of the collision to give them a call at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
