Maroons Trade for D'Agostino

The Chatham Maroons have added a proven scorer to their lineup.

The team announced Saturday that they have acquired forward Brendan D'Agostino from the Thorold Blackhawks.  He is currently third among the top scorers in the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League with 18 goals for 65 points.  Last season, he had eight goals and 24 assists for Thorold.

D'Agostino, 18, was named the Golden Horseshoe Conference Offensive Player of the Month for September 2016.  The Stoney Creek, Ontario native was also selected for the GOJHL Top Prospects "1998-99" Game.

He was a 14th round draft pick of the North Bay Battalion in the 2014 OHL Entry Draft.

The Maroons have not announced who, or what they are sending to Thorold to acquire D'Agostino.  Their next game is Sunday night against the London Nationals.  It will not be known until before the game if D'Agostino will play.
