Special Weather Statement In Effect

The cold, windy weather is expected to carry on throughout the night in most of Southwestern Ontario.

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for Chatham-Kent, Windsor-Essex, London, and Sarnia.  A wind warning has also been issued St. Thomas and Eastern Elgin County.

A strong cold front is expected to move through the areas Tuesday night. Residents can expect strong winds, as well as cold, dry air.

Environment Canada says southwesterly winds are expected to gust to 80 km/h, which could cause minor damage.

Winds are expected to calm down by Wednesday morning.
