Drug Bust In Chatham

Chatham-Kent police have arrested an alleged drug dealer in Chatham after executing a search warrant Thursday night.

Police say members of the Intelligence Unit and the Critical Incident Response Team (CIRT) searched a Chatham residence and found some cocaine, some methamphetamine, some marijuana, and some painkillers.

Officers say the drugs they seized are worth about $13,000 on the street.

Police also took some digital scales, debt lists, packaging material, and some cash.

A 47-year-old Chatham man who lives on Gray St. was arrested and charged with four counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking. He has since been released with conditions and a future court date.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
