Two Local Men Charged With Fraud

Chatham-Kent police officers have charged two local men with fraud.

Monday afternoon, a man entered Walmart on St. Clair St. in Chatham and picked up approximately $195 worth of items, then left the store without paying for the merchandise.

He gave the items to another man known to him outside the store, who then attempted to fraudulently return the items.

A 36-year-old Sarnia man and a 55-year-old Windsor man have been charged.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
