CCAC Transfer To LHIN Continues

The Erie St. Clair Local Health Integration Network says people should remain calm as work continues to transfer the Community Care Access Centre to the LHIN.

Beth Dulmage from the regional LHIN, and Caen Suni of the local CCAC emphasize "care as usual" and say "the intention is to have no negative impact to patients" and to have "limited disruptions" during the transition.

The LHIN says the idea is to have more "open communication" and "continuity and stability in the system."

CCAC officials say the ministry-mandated move should happen between May and the end of this summer.
