Road Rage On Hwy. 40

A Chatham man is facing a number of charges in connection with what OPP are calling a "road rage" incident.

Police say the man was driving behind another vehicle on St. Clair Rd. (Hwy. 40) north of Chatham at around 9:30pm Monday night, when he started approaching the other vehicle and attempted to force it off the road.

According to police, the man's vehicle hit the one in front of him during the incident.

No injuries were reported, but the collision did cause some minor damage.

The man then turned off of the highway and left the area, but police were able to locate a suspect vehicle a short time later.

A 40-year-old Chatham man is now charged with speeding, failing to surrender an insurance card, failing to surrender a vehicle permit, and failing to surrender a driver's licence.
