CK Mayor Proud Of New College Student Centre

The new St Clair College Student Centre at the Thames Campus has the mayor of Chatham-Kent "proud as a peacock."

Mayor Randy Hope is thanking the current and previous student council for laying a foundation to help the college keep attracting students to the Chatham campus.

Hope says the centre will help his council build a better community.

"What do we need to do outside the borders to make this a wholesome community approach to support post-secondary education," he says.

The mayor says he wants to reach out and attract international students and the centre will help do that.

"You've created an opportunity for the students of today and tomorrow," Hope says. "You've laid the platform for your administration to go abroad and attract more students into our community."
