UPDATE: Two Schools Robbed Of Electronics

Chatham-Kent police are looking into a couple of recent break-ins at two public schools in Chatham.

Police say sometime over the long weekend a suspect(s) broke into Indian Creek Public School on two separate occasions. Several electronics worth approximately $1,400 were reported stolen.

In that same time frame, John McGregor Secondary School was also broken into.

Police say sometime between February 17 and February 21, someone broke into the school by going in through the classroom windows.

Even though all doors and windows were locked, police say the locks were damaged by the suspect in order to gain entry.

The stolen items include: iPads, keyboards, laptops, and Google Chromebooks. The value of the stolen items is approximately $25,000.

The two schools are about 1 km away from each other in Chatham.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
