On Tuesday just after 11pm, police say a suspect with a weapon entered Charlie's Variety Store on Park Ave. E and demanded cash.
A struggle broke out when the money was handed over, and the employee suffered a cut to his arm which required surgery.
The suspect fled the scene. Chatham-Kent police continue to investigate.
