Knights Outplay Spitfires 4-1

The Windsor Spitfires dropped a 4-1 decision to the London Knights in OHL action on Friday.

After no scoring in the first period, Mitchell Stephens scored 3:31 into the second to give London a 1-0 lead.

JJ Piccinich scored for London 29 seconds into the final frame, followed by Janne Kuokkanen who added another goal to make it 3-0 for the Knights. Hayden McCool scored Windsor's first goal of the night with just under five minutes left to play, but Sam Miletic followed up with a goal to cap off London's 4-1 victory.

Despite the loss, Windsor outshot London 37-30.

The Knights will head to Owen Sound on Saturday to take on the Attack at 7:30pm. And then on Sunday, the Spitfires will battle the Sarnia Sting at the WFCU Centre. The puck drops at 2:05pm.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
