Jamieson Employees On Strike

Employees at one of Canada's biggest health product companies have walked off the job.

240 workers at Jamieson Laboratories in Windsor are now on the picket line after rejecting a contract offer.  The workers are represented by Unifor Local 195.

Union members appeared at their union hall in Windsor this morning to hear a presentation on the contract offer before voting on it.  57% of those voting said no.  Picketing began almost immediately after the results were announced.

Jamieson Laboratories is a top producer of vitamin and mineral supplements, and one of the leading producers of health supplements in Canada.  Details of the agreement have not been disclosed.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
