AECOM Targeted Again By Water Wells First

Water Wells First is filing a complaint with the Ontario Society of Professional Engineers.

The group's spokesperson, Kevin Jakubec, says Friday's complaint stems from bad practices at Aecom, the consultant working for local wind developers. He says Aecom hasn't taken enough well samples because of a short time line, claiming that contravenes wind farm permit conditions and sample protocol.

Water Wells First claims that the pile driving and vibrations created by wind turbines are causing sediment to contaminate the well water in certain areas.

Jakubec says Aecom's work needs to be reviewed and letters have already been sent to Premier Kathleen Wynne and Environment Minister Glen Murray.
