Country music star Michelle Wright is playing at Capitol Theatre in Chatham Friday night.
The Chatham-Kent native sang to a full gym at her old public school in Merlin Thursday.
While she was there, she even got a few students up to sing, and says it may have started a singing career.
"It is little things like this that can sometimes plant a seed... whether it's music or whatever," she says.
Friday's show starts at 8pm and benefits the new Chatham-Kent Animal Shelter.
Wright says Friday's show will be high energy, adding "it'll just be me and the band doing our hits and giving people the songs that they've come to hear."
