Chatham-Kent police are urging people to keep filing minor crime reports online.
The system has been operational for six months and saves time for officers.
Constable Kelly Helbin says users must ensure that the incident occurred within Chatham-Kent and they must have a valid email address to use the system.
Helbin says if there's a suspect, do not make an online report and call police -- but if there's no suspect, people can use the online system.
"For example: damage or mischief to property, knocking down mailboxes, broken window, spray painting, writing or drawing on a building, sidewalks, graffiti, damage to a fence," she says.

Helbin says you should still call 911 if it's an emergency and adds that police do not accept reports filed on behalf of a third party.
