Hundreds Of Immunization Records Still Overdue

Parents have until next week to set the record straight with the Public Health Unit.

Just over 370 elementary and high school students across Chatham-Kent still risk being suspended on April 4, over missing vaccine data.

That number's dwindled down significantly from the 2,000 warning notices mailed out at the beginning of the year, and 900 suspension orders issued this month.

Public Health Nurse Dan Drouillard says many times, the child has had their shots, but they weren't reported to Public Health.

To update your child's immunization records, book an appointment, or request an exemption, please call the Immunization intake line at 519-355-1071 ext. 5900. Shots can also be reported online.
