Ladd Selected By Kitchener Rangers

Chatham-Kent's Grayson Ladd has been selected by the Kitchener Rangers.

Results of the OHL Priority Selection went up Saturday morning, where Ladd was selected 13th in round 1.

"I'm very excited," he says. "It hasn't sunk in."

Ladd spoke with BlackburnNews.com, saying he was a little surprised Kitchener chose him.

"I was looked at by Kitchener but I wasn't expecting to go that high by them," he says. "I went down for a visit earlier so that was one of the top selections that I wanted to go to."

Moving forward, Ladd says he's looking forward to rookie camp and then main camp.

"It's just mainly about this summer, working out and being on the ice," he says. "Then hopefully making the teams next year and playing with the Kitchener Rangers."
