CK Warns About Muddy Roads

The Chatham-Kent Road Authority would like to remind drivers to drive carefully on roads where there's mud.

Officials say under the Highway Traffic Act, farmers and contractors have a legal obligation to ensure their vehicles are cleared of any mud or debris before entering the public highway.

Excess mud can be a danger to cars, motorbikes and cyclists, particularly in wet conditions like we’ve had recently, changing the way a vehicle handles and potentially causing skidding.
