UPDATE: Man Held For Attempted Murder

A 32-year-old man is facing attempted murder charges after an incident in Leamington.

Ontario Provincial Police say they were called to a home in the area of Plumbrook Dr near Oak St East before 3am Easter Sunday.  A 42-year-old man is in hospital with life-threatening injuries as a result of the incident.

Investigators spent almost 15 hours on scene trying to determine what happened, and the area was finally reopened before 6pm Sunday.

It is not immediately known what happened but trails of what appear to be a blood-like substance were seen on the pavement in the area.

The OPP's Emergency Response Team, Essex County Crime Unit, canine unit and forensic identification section are working on the case.

The investigation is still ongoing.  Anyone with information should call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.  Those wishing to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS), where tipsters could receive a cash reward.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
