Driver Seriously Injured In Crash Near Dutton

One person has been airlifted to hospital after a serious single-vehicle crash south of Dutton.

The Ontario Provincial Police say on Wednesday around 3:20pm, officers responded to the intersection of Fingal Line and Currie Rd. south of Wallacetown.  Police say the driver, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, had to be extricated from the vehicle.

The driver was then airlifted to hospital with life threatening injuries.

The intersection was closed for several hours to allow officers to conduct an investigation.

Anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to contact the Elgin County OPP at 1-888-310-1122.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
